🏈 Thinking back about things we were told about Saban after he was hired...

...and we all know I could sit here and list them; no small list mind you.

It dawns on me this morning seeing so many coaches being fired around the NCAA and four opening in the SEC alone.

Since he was hired, there are only three schools in the SEC that have the same coach. It's four if I include Mizzou in its first year.

UT, one of the biggest fan bases laughing and ridiculing the hire, is now looking for it's fourth coach.

I was just about to post about how some Other fans were saying how he would leave sooner than later.....few coaching searches later for them and he's still in place

I remember all the stuff that was said both by rival fans and the media about how Saban never stays at places very long and that he was going to be gone inside just a few years and now the media (ESPN mostly) through huge amounts of praise to him and have even said he would go down as one of the greatest coaches in Alabama and college football history. Funny how things worked out.

I literally had people in my family telling me Saban would be gone within 3 years... every year I remind them of that too.

I was just talking about this with my dad yesterday. We thought about all of the coaches that have either resigned or have been fired from teams that we have beaten since CNS has been at Bama.

It's funny how Saban wasnt supposed to be at Alabama very long and yet, it seems like we are one of the very few teams who have kept our coach and have succeded with our coach. And does it seem strange that all of the coaches and teams i have mentioned, except 1, are from the SEC?

I had a bunch of boogers telling me the same thing. He will be gone in 3-4 years. I always said, so what. He will win a MNC in that time and have Alabama back as a premier program that everyone will want to coach.........and he did.

I said after 2009, if he left for whatever reason, he did what I had hoped he would do and I would say, thank you. Every year since 2009 has been nothing but icing on the cake.
