I think Bama was #1 wire to wire in the CPF ranking. For AP/Coach's poll Clemson was #1 early.

When the CFP rankings started coming out last year, I think Clemson was ranked number 1. As the season went along and the 4 team play off came together, LSU was #1 later in the season.

Bama is the first team to come out and go the entire CFP ranking #1. Remember it doesn't come out until about 1/2 way through the season.

Yes, Alabama started at #3 in the AP. (LSU started at #5)
