🏈 Think about Bielema then watch this quick video: Does your impression/perception change?

Isn't he the coach that kept having his players run off-sides on kickoffs against Penn State to avoid kicking it off to Penn State late in the 1st half to run the clock out?

Yup found the link. Such a tool!

Wisconsin finds loophole in speed-up rule - USATODAY.com
With Wisconsin having just gone ahead 10-3, Bielema, 36, twice had his team intentionally go offside on kickoffs in the last 23 seconds of the first half, minimizing Penn State's chances to score. The two penalized kicks took 19 seconds off the clock and left Penn State coach Joe Paterno, 79, livid and complaining to officials.

AL.com All-Access: Bret Bielema has some explaining to do

Unless there's something we can't see on a video gone viral, Bielema's actions after an Arkansas interception against Alabama may be worthy of a one-game suspension.

Hey, Bret Bielema. Greg Sankey on Line 1. Steve Shaw on Line 2.

If the Arkansas coach hasn't already received a call from the SEC's commissioner and its supervisor of football officials, he should probably stay by the phone.

Bielema has some explaining to do.

A video of Bielema's bizarre behavior on a key second-quarter play during Alabama's 27-14 win over Arkansas has gone viral. The Hogs returned a Jake Coker interception to the Alabama 24-yard line, then Alabama tackle Cam Robinson was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

That penalty moved the ball to the 12. Three plays later, Arkansas scored a touchdown and took a 7-3 lead.

What we didn't know then is exactly what Robinson did to earn that flag. The viral video shows Bielema may deserve the credit/blame for an Oscar-worthy performance.

As Robinson and Arkansas defensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt tumble toward the sideline at the end of the return, Bielema rushes out between two officials to get in Robinson's face, then appears to fake-stumble backward as if Robinson shoved him.

An official throws a flag, and Bielema does a goofy little dance to celebrate.

You know when it's a good time to confront an opposing player during the game? Never.

We already knew Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium wasn't Bielema's finest hour. He made not one but two questionable fourth-down decisions in the third quarter with a chance to upset Alabama, and both of them backfired.

He failed to go for it on fourth-and-1 at the Alabama 46 midway through the third quarter with Arkansas leading 7-3 even though the Hogs weren't exactly marching up and down the field.

Then he called a fake punt on fourth-and-5 near midfield with his team trailing 10-7. The punter's carry came up short, and Alabama drove the short field for the decisive touchdown.

Perhaps there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for Bielema's behavior on the video in the Robinson incident. No doubt he'll be given every opportunity to provide it to the SEC office.

But unless there's something we can't see on video, Bielema's actions may be worthy of a one-game suspension.

There is another video floating around of him bumping Kenyan Drake. He doesn't flop like he did with Cam but he definitely runs up and initiates contact with his left shoulder in to Drake.

I like Ricks take on this......unsportsmanlike. That 15 yard penalty, certainly went the wrong way. I know they won't fine him, but he does represent the SEC. My hope is this brings on a new legislation by Sankey.........similar to what Slive did a few years ago about talking about the officials. If you do it through the media, or talk about them you get fined. I think Urban got fined for saying something a few weeks later.

I think Sankey needs to do something like that with this incident. The next coach seen doing something like that, you get a 25K fine.

My perception has not changed. He has shown himself to be less discrete than a head coach should be. It doesn't surprise me that he tried a tactic like this.
That is why, currently, the razorbacks are my almost least favorite team in the conference... we all know the bottom spot is occupied by the barn.
