The Boston Marathon is obviously a huge event... if those dudes are former special ops or private security or whatever, it would be very reasonable for them to have been hired by the city of Boston for extra, or specialized security. They obviously were not trying to blend in too much or they wouldn't have been wearing what they were wearing. There is more security that goes into an Alabama football game than most would ever realize (though much of it is overkill looking for bombs when most anyone could sneak in a gun)... I'm sure it is the same way with events such as the Marathon, NFL Games, and everything else these days...

Yeah, I don't subscribe to the thinking that they were involved. I would like to know what they were doing and what the handheld device is for.
