I am really looking forward to this season.

I always look forward to football. But since coach Oates has taken over , I have been finding myself making concerted efforts to keep up with Basketball as much as football lately.

To where before I always watched the basketball games and went to a few . But I never followed/cared for recruiting or the offseason.

Probably cause of all the info available nowadays as opposed to then. Bottom line ……..

It's wild what one run in the tournament can do to the perception of the program. Oats was already getting respect from coaches all around the CBB world. Seems now the media has finally caught on and are really putting us on a pedestal.

The roster this season is pretty loaded. I understand with the addition of Cliff and Sears returning why we're preseason favorites. But people are overlooking the other parts that will make the team special. For one, Latrell Wrightsell returns and he was an absolutely huge piece of the team when healthy. We were just different spacing wise on offense and missed his length on D. Then you look at the experience with Stevenson and Nelson bring, flipping the narrative in one season about the frontcourt. Now add in the transfer + recruiting class. I've already posted about how excited about Philon, but I really believe Reid is going to be a fan favorite because of his activity on the boards.

I'm really just ready for the season to get here. I've watched pretty much the entire season twice already.
