šŸ€ There's still a lot of basketball left to be played, if Bama takes on the SEC like it did its non-conference schedule, then this team is far from done

Looking at the earley SEC schedule, I expect Bama to be 2-2 to start with loses to State and Kentucky. May be wrong but they seemed to struggle the last 3 games with the turnover issues and the defense when Burnett went down. I had been saying this team was different because of the defense but then the Memphis and Gongzaga games happened.

Hope I am wrong and they go 4-0.

Gotta improve on TOs and doing better at charity stripe. Successful teams do well on both regardless of competition

loses to State and Kentucky.
I haven't seen State play. I've seen who they've played. I haven't missed anything.
I did catch UK and 'Zaga. Even if this game was in Lexington I'd like Bama's chances. In Tuscaloosa, on national TV on Saturday. I love Bama's chances.

Arkansas as game four...seems like I've seen a few things about injuries over there.
turnover issues
Ya know, I think a lot of people look at the numbers and judge those under a more traditional sense* of basketball. They're going to happen with this system. A few here and there...

Back in the run in '20-'21 they averaged 14 a game, this year it's 15. Kansas won it all last year averaging 12 in a similar style of play.

*"...traditional sense..." IE: Offensive fouls (turnovers) are going to happen at this pace versus a half court set style.

Not sure how I missed it but Arkansas will likely be a loss. They will get OM and will need to win either State or Kentucky,. State being on the road may be a challenge. Heck after thinking about it they could be 1-3 but I hope not.

On the turnovers, I think it is part of the style Oats plays. It does seem like it could improve from what it is now. With that said this style with the shooting slumps that occur and turnovers you have to play lights out D which they did until the last three games. The other thing needed with this style is better FT shooting. '''

I hope these young guys just get better and better which you would think they would. It is a tough 4 games to start the season for sure.
