🏈 There are six P5 teams that have never finished in the AP top 10: one from the SEC, Vanderbilt.

Oregon State, Iowa State, Arizona, North Carolina State, Syracuse? Total guesses after a quick runaround the country.
Good guesses, and I certainly have no idea without google.....but I remember North Carolina St had some good teams under Chuck Amato ie Philip Rivers as QB. Oregon St had some good teams the first time Mike Riley was there and Dennis Erickson was HC with some success as well. Not sure about Arizona, but back in the 90's they were pretty good with their "desert swarm" defense.

I definitely did my best to take into affect the best years during my life. The thing that got me was "Finished". Washington State was a guess as well, but I felt they went to the Rose Bowl one year and likely finished with Ryan Leaf, or even one year under Leach. Thought the same about Maryland with Ralph Freidgen. UCONN under Edsall made the Orange Bowl as did Kansas, so I took them out. That being saud, I was really unsure about the teams I posted. Arizona had some good years, but finishing was the uncertainty. Same with Oregon State and NC State. I know Russell Wilson had a good year there too, but still was unsure. Probably should have guessed Duke or Wake Forest. Boston College was another one I wasn't as sure on when Matt Ryan was there. This is a great question to get you thinking.
