The Titans have released RB DeMarco Murray. They are going with Derrick Henry as their lead back

Henry is the kinda running back that needs touches and lots of them. I've never seen a guy get over 40 carries in a game and still run with violence and speed. The LSU and barner game is such a compliment to his unique skill set. I've watched him play a few games in the NFL where he actually was given the ball on numerous occasions and when he gets moving he still takes it to the house, stiff arm and all. Endurance is a big part of Henry's game. Give him the ball.

His workout regimen is unbelievable. I've mentioned it a few times on here. My wife follows him on Instagram and is amazed at what he can do and how massive he is, but yet how fast he is. Like you said, he gets stronger as the game goes on, and I think it's an honest testament to what Alabama does for these guys with Cochran and the 4th Quarter Program. Richardson, Ingram, Yeldon, Lacy, Henry, Bo, Damien Harris are all strong as an ox in the 4th quarter and just pound teams. No heavy legs and being able to pick them up to avoid arm tackles and tripping over fallen players.

Now the pressure will solely focused on him though. before he could spell Murray and allow the higher paid and veteran take the flack, but now he's going to face all the scrutiny and expectations. He'll do well in my opinion.

Murray was hurt coming down the stretch and Henry ran for over a 150 yards in a playoff game. Maybe that was the selling point? They still need to be able to spell him and need another good back.

To me, it's the QB that is the enigma on this football team. Mariota desperately needs to take the next step with his passing or they aren't going to do much. Philadephia and Jacksonville may have opened the visual of what they need to evolve to as an offensive scheme. But sooner or later, he has to start moving this team through the air more consistently. I'm pretty sure too that Henry will do his part.

They need a quick, smaller back to bring in on 3rd down, unless it is third and one. Henry has one limitation, his first step is too slow to ever be great at pass pro. Now once he gets a few steps, he is a monster. Also, if the blitzer comes through on his side, he is great at stonewalling them.
