On a sidenote, PerfectGameUSA has been getting more and more publicity as this season has progressed. They may have been around last season but I don't recall seeing anything from their writers or links to their site.

Just have to maintain it. Our problem is we get the recognition and then fade I to obscurity. Looking forward to getting into the postseason this year. Would be very exciting and you never know what could happen.

I hope Gaspard is coaching them to not get complacent or let the rankings phase them in any way. Need to keep on working to get better every game.

As young as the lineup is I think there's a good possibility that's been ingrained. Off the top of my head I think our starting lineup (majority of the time) has consisted of four sophomores, three frosh, a RS junior, and one senior.

I heard on the news last week that this was the first time in...nearly ten years (??) since Bama had cracked the top fifteen. How long has it been since Bama had cracked the top ten?

My first guess is going to be 2006. If we'd have won game one against A&M Saturday it would have either matched, or beaten, the best start the team has had since that season.

It's a great question bama alum. I'll see if I can find the answer as soon as I get a little maintenance done around here...

That didn't take long...

Alabama hasn't seen the Collegiate Baseball top 10 since landing at No. 9 in May of 2009. It's been even longer for Baseball America -- the 2006 season.

I mentioned earlier that the Perfect Game poll was new to me. With these other two polls I'm left wondering...which one carries more credibility?

If we look at it from a football perspective, while both have their flaws I'd put more credence into how Coaches vote than how writers vote (AP poll.) Co

Would have been a weekend you can't miss if this weekends series against Auburn was A-day weekend!!

Oh god why!! That would have been perfect!! Nothing like going to A-Day game and getting some football, then following it by watching the baseball team destroy a bunch delusional egotistical 'bama-obsessed goat humping west Georgia hicks.
