🏈 The team flight out to Orange County

I will add that many of these players had never flown out west. Many have probably never flown past the hour or so that they normally do around Tuscaloosa during the season.

We flew over the Grand Canyon. It was cute to see some of their reactions. You forget that these guys are kids for the most part.

I'm sure you've read it on al.com and such, but Donta' Hightower was on the flight. It was so good to see him. Terry Grant was also there, and I'm SO glad since he wasn't able to make the trip to the SECCG. :a:

1. All video on laptop.

2. No huddling of coaches. Coach Saban was the only one I saw with a laptop. He was VERY focused on that and that alone.

3. I can share that LSU has a horrible reputation with flight crews.

4. Cody didn't get up one time. He slept most of flight. I made sure he was OK before takeoff. Other than that I didn't see him until the very end when he said he was ready to eat.

5. Food bags with sub sandwiches, chips, cheese, apples, etc... were available in their seats upon getting on aircraft. Steak and potatoes were served as well as candy and Dove ice cream bars before landing. Most of the players ate. Breakfast was served before departing Tuscaloosa as well.

6. Yes!

7. I saw no books by players. Most had nothing but an Ipod.

8. In-seat videos were available, so movies were an option. I only saw players watching football. All were watching the AU game. Don't know after that. It was another game (don't know which one).

Thanks so much.. So interesting to know this :)

Thanks for the update Sandra! Love reading all of this. I can relate to the air to ground sighting of the Grand Canyon. The first time I saw it from the air, I thought "That is the biggest strip mine EVER!" Then the captain came on and said we were flying over the Grand Canyon.

I felt the same and the captain announced it right about the time I thought it...:dazed:

Wheres all your pictures?

Not allowed.:frown: No pictures or autographs. It's part of the process.

The pilots actually did get a few for me. Beats all I've ever seen. I guess because they fly the airplane the same rules don't apply to them that apply to us. Oh well. At least they got some for me. Anyway, sorry I can't share those.
