šŸˆ The starting 22 at FSU. We've never seen anything like this watching Bama football.

You guys know. I'm big on experience. And, even though FSU saw a 2-9 season last year, I don't see that as an experience worth noting—for the first 22.

Did you know that 14 of their starting 22 are either true seniors or red shirt seniors? Yeah. That's over half the starting lineup. For good measure, they have four juniors or redshirt juniors in their starting lineup. Now, we're at 18 of the 22 with returning experience.

Senior QB, RB, two of your WR's ... looks like something to be cautious with as an opponent, right?

Here's where it gets weird.

Only nine of those 22 actually return. 13, are new transfers into the program. Of those nine, four of those transferred in last season. Even weirder, when you get to the 'two's,' only two are transfers. The back-ups are Norvell's guys.

A little weirder: FSU plays a 3-3-5 (Earl Little, Jr. at NB) and those five only have one new guy. They got experience, and have played together.

Leaving me with this thought this morning ...

This is ALL on Norvell.

Building the majority of your contributors in the portal will turn out just like it has for fsu. Hit and miss, no development in ā€œyourā€ program. Kinda funny if you ask me.
Miami is another that's caught my attention. They are returning a SO WR. The other two, along with their starting QB and C (Brockmeyer) are all first year transfers.

They run a 4-2-5 and four of the five in their defensive backfield are the same. That secondary will have, at maximum, 30 practices together by game one. How does that spell cohesion?

Now, imagine your the 'Canes and find yourself down by 17. 30 practices for the chemistry in QB to WR.

(4 of the 7 on ST? 1st year transfers...)

You forget that they’ve been together all summer with ā€œuncoachedā€ workouts. The numbers can lie.
