The @SEC revised tiebreakers:

-Must have played within 1 game of average number of conference games played by all teams.

-First tiebreaker is head-to-head.

-There are allowances for teams that lose a game dropping them below the eligibility threshold.

The one time allowance for a team is the ability to add one game one single time. Teams may add a game IF they are ā€œreadyā€ to play and their opponent can not play.

Should extraordinary circumstances prevent a team from playing in the SEC Championship, there is a review process.

That process is @GregSankey reviewing the facts and establishing a process that could include formation of a determining body that could determine if relief is granted to the team that doesn’t have the required number of games.

Big takeaway from all of this is that the @SEC has to try to find a way to play Alabama-LSU and has to do it in the near term as LSU is already scheduled to play Florida on 12/12 and there is a possibility Florida needs that game for eligibility.

With the number of cases rising daily in the US, it is going to be a major challenge to even see the SEC Championship take place. I wonder if Greg Sankey would or could require a team(s) to play twice in one week? Not a great idea I know but IMO, everything has to be on the table. It will interesting to see how things play out.

Florida is down 1 game overall and Bama is too. Assuming neither lose more games than the rest of the SEC going forward, they would both still fall in the 1 game of average needed, assuming they round down. So far only 4 teams have not had a postponed game (Kentucky, SCar, Arkansas, Ole Miss) an a few have had multiples. The average is right at 9 games if none are made up right now.
