Having 20-team conferences will almost guarantee a playoff expansion. It will be very likely that the second ranked team will have only one loss, or no losses since more than half of the teams won’t play each other. Even with a conference championship game, there will still be a possible undefeated team that didn’t make it to the CCG due to tie breakers.

Bold statement.....may be true ..may not be...
Maybe in 4 team CFPs....but wont always be 4....
And someone may be bold enough to say same about Cincinnati in pre ious years but the 2021 Cincinnati was good enough to win a game in a 12 team playoff......maybe 8 team....
