šŸ“ The Portal Watch 2020-2021: Florida's Emory Jones announces intent to enter the transfer portal

@Brandon Van de Graaff

Could Sanders not move to fill Christian Harris' spot? Even with Turner and Anderson back, there should be plenty of opportunities. Sanders should see the field when healthy I would imagine.

IMO, staying where he was at (behind Turner) would have been wise. We all know how quickly depth charts in Tuscaloosa get flipped when the broken foot fairy or some such evil entity visits. But, if he wants to go elsewhere where he can be the starter (again) from the jump, I get that too. We are going to see more and more of it with the way things are set up now unless/until some rules are passed to regulate it a bit more.

If you’re 2nd on the depth chart in any position you should stay, after all the injuries we saw this year. Man, everyone got their chance to start it seems like. Feels like we started 20+ different guys on defense. The injury bug felt like one of those Cochran years.

A little off topic, but Sanders and Turner both need to add some weight and strength. This off season will be huge for Turner in terms of accomplishing that. Currently his listed as 6'4 245 lbs, which is similar to Will Anderson and there was an obvious size difference. Hopefully he can get to 260 lbs and gain some needed strength. He has a bright future, just has to put in the work.

Jobe heading to the NFL also. Going to need a few replacements for back-ups. I'm interested to see if the offensive line improves this next year. Bryce with time to throw and receivers getting open will make us near impossible to stop.

Agreed. Also, I’d like to see BY implement running when things break down a bit more, but doesn’t seem to be in his DNA as somebody on here said the other day

Think #19 violated C 19 protocols before fall camp. Had to be isolated missed practice time got behind. He then doubled down for poor attitude in trying to get back or didn’t do what he was supposed to do.

So, what’s the deal with billingsley? I didn’t think Latu played so well to be ahead of him.

Latu outplayed him in every single way imaginable. When he got opportunities to catch the ball he made plays and was an excellent blocker. The only time you heard about Billingsley when he was on the field was because he missed a block, dropped a pass, fell down on a route or just looked like he was jogging in a route. He had no business on the field at all, IMO.

I may be wrong here but if he would stick it out I think he could bounce back. Now I did not see anything on the field that tells me that but if CNS can get through to him in these post season conversations he could turn it around. I hope this for the kid because he has a lot of talent.
