These teams being able to give them early playing time is why some of these good players are going to these schools. With all these Super Seniors moving on, it will worked for a couple years. I believe it will dwindle down once rosters start to fill up. JMO.

Definitely going to help some non-top teams in the end. As rosters at the Bama's and OSU's fill up with transfers and they have to be pickier about who they recruit, some kids who would have been recruited out of high school are going to wind up at teams one or two steps below where they may have been otherwise. Over time that will correct, but you are going to see some schools get some players they would not have gotten previously.

And to, players trying to get to the NFL, they will go where they can play early and get value for themselves. I don’t think it’s about really liking the school anymore. It’s all about the dollar now! NIL and transfer portal will kill college ball before long.

How many is many? Who specifically? The portal has only been in place for a few years and I can’t think of any coach that picked up more than a few contributors in the portal. All the portal is is a central database of athletes looking to leave their existing school.
