I certainly hope the Alabama passing offense is not marked up on the Clemson side. That didn't work at MSU last year.

I am interested as to why you think Clemson will turn the ball over.

You made a comment in an earlier post that you think it'll be a determining factor in the game.

Our defensive line getting pressure on Cullen and what we have as far as closing speed with our DB's.

I'm thinking 2, maybe 3 if we get lucky, 3. A fumble and one INT.

Respectfully have to disagree here

what pressure with your defensive line? You lacked pass rushers last season, and your best one is now gone.

The strength of your defensive line lies with its ability to stop the run, just my opinion.

Your secondary is probably solid, but our WR's have torn up some pretty good defenses. When we get in trouble is when we can't run the ball...which has a possibility of happening with our offensive line being inexperienced.

We are consistently a top 15 team in turnover margin. We don't cough the ball up much at all. Harper threw 6 picks all of last season.

James Davis has lost one fumble his entire collegiate career.

Our defensive line will be more effective this year at pass rushing because of the depth we have added. Also the players have been in the system longer which will mean more blitzing. I believe our secondary will be very solid. Overall I see us taking great strides on the D-line and secondary even with the losses due to the talent level being greater. Linebackers will be the unknown but the players that we lost will be replaced with a more athletic group.

That is true. I wouldn't base any numbers on last year, so I do not. You will see a different Bama team. SO base all you want on last years figures, numbers games, whatever. Everyone is giving an opinion. When I played we called it bringing the wood. Maybe Bama will "bring it" and Clemson will cough it up. Maybe Davis is the only person to touch. If I remember reading before you thought Clemson would move it around to get it to play makers, perfect spots for big plays either ways and turnovers?..but that is just my opinion.

Relax man, relax

Kc I was just asking a question

everyone is entitled to their opinion

I was just asking somebody where they got the basis for theirs, thats all.

.......lol wow

You asked a questions and gave a bunch of reasons why he would be wrong to think that way.

That is not just asking a question. Should you not wait for his answer? Without telling him why he would be wrong?

And I gave you a reasons why there could be turnovers...not to mention it being the first game, on national tv etc etc. Am I wrong for giving my opinion now too?

Just asking a question.

You took that completely wrong so I guess will do the same.

Here is the real question to me...

Is Clemson's OL better than Bama's DL?

The weakness of the entire Clemson team is the OL.

With Bama being the first game of the year, the Tigers have fall camp to get the OL playing together. That's a tough task.

Sometimes it takes half of a season to get the OL playing as a unit. Bama fans know this because we've seen it here.

The DL doesn't have to be all stars at this point...they just have to be better than your OL.

Before I get jumped on...this is just an opinion.

LOL

Kc, I can tell you must be the argumentative one of the board.

I "gave a bunch of reasons why he was wrong?"

Well, I guess. I made a counter argument. It is called "civil debate."

Again, relax. I want to know if HE has a basis for what he said, and I'm sure he does...

hence me ASKING.

Kay

You're right that Clemson's OL certainly is questionable right now.

My only point was that I don't think turnovers will be a factor. We just aren't a risky enough offense to do that, and three years of Rob Spence has shown that he would rather take three "four and outs" in a row than committ a turnover.

But who really plans on turnover? You don't really have to risky to turn the ball over.
