Well, that's to be expected.
Oh trust me, that won't be an issue. I'll probably stop by early, early in the week and dump off a few random thoughts about the game and then I will disappear until after the game at which point I'll come back and one way or another say "good game" and such.
Although, trust me I will not be 100% confident about the Iron Bowl even if we come into the game undefeated. We were able to limit the running game last year, it will be damn hard to do that two years in a row. Our front seven is the strength of our defense but that isn't saying that much. ALL Bama runs is crossing routes, well mostly anyway, and throws over the middle have killed Auburn all year long. Our offense has to mature beyond Cam Newton between now and then. Dyer looks great but he isn't consistent. I absolutely think we CAN beat Bama, you guys could also hang 40+ on us and demoralize the team. Alabama is a much, much better team than they showed Saturday. They are certainly better than anyone we've played and spotted a double-digit deficit to yet--and yes, that includes South Carolina.
Regardless, you guys have my word I won't be the typical insult-hurling, homer rival fans you have grown accustomed to. We do a pick 'em contest on the AUFamily forum and last year I even picked Bama. Last year's loss obviously bothered me because we were in a position to win. That being said, I never actually thought we had a realistic shot at holding on to it. It made that touchdown throw less painful when I knew it was coming. The defense had played FAR beyond their potential. The only truly talented players on our defense had played the ENTIRE game. There was no way that could hold up against that good of an offense.
I actually enjoy posting here. We don't get too many unbiased rival fans over at AUF, we have a few but by and large they are all homers. Roll Tide Rev is also a member over there. He's usually an OK dude
