What's the draw there? I know they have a passionate fan base, but so does every other SEC program. Was the Longhorn Network successful? I heard zero about it once the headlines about the initial contract price faded.

I get that. I just wonder why Oklahoma was their first choice to start with. They do have decent programs outside of football, so maybe that's it.

The timing makes me think that they have a window where TV discussions weren't under conference preview. I don't know for sure. I think OU had one PPV game per year up now. Still may and this supplements that.
