🏈 The long ball

I'd agree with most of that with this addition.

Last season when we won, Arkansas had a 3rd down conversion rate of a little less than 30%.

Last weekend, against UGA, it was 3 for 14.

If that trend continues...

I agree with this point...I attribute this to the mysterious lack of run-blocking. If we don't get better at creating lanes for our rb's this will be a long, miserable year. One-dimensional offenses don't last long in the SEC.

A work buddy (UGA grad) said most of their DBs are freshman and inexperienced. And that is why Ark had so many yards passing. Hopefully our seniors will have a better day.

Tell your friend. :bsflag:

UGA started two seniors, a junior and a sophomore in their secondary.

They did play one true freshman, and two redshirted freshman.

Still, that is pure and simple...a BS excuse. Hell, even Richt said in his press conference it was blown assignments.

But, even that's not an excuse for a team that has 14 penalties in a game, 12 of them coming on offense.

For such a young and inexperienced group, and the freshman part is only partially true, the defense had one penalty all day.
