šŸˆ The Lane Kiffin project has to end. Pronto

I was at the game. The fans gave up and started leaving about mid of the 3rd quarter. Bamas D kept us in the game. Ole MIss offense had about 100 actual earned yards. The rest came on 2 fluke plays plays that went for crazy big yardage. Bama gave them the game with turnovers and special teams blunders. My thing is .....when you have 2 of the best backs in the league and 2:30 min left in the game with a timeout. Why are we throwing deep on our own 20 yardline? We had plenty enough time to dink and dunk down the field especially with the clock stopping on first downs. Why go for the big play.......Its kind of like Kiffins whole life/mentality. Go big and take unneeded risks and fall flat on your face most of the time. I like Saban's offense. Safe, smart, and methodical and you win much more than you lose.

As a couple of folks stated above, Coker was sick pregame, during the game, and after the game. Maybe Saban wasn't trying to troll everyone and he didn't think Coker could go. If Coker really was sick as heck all weekend, you gotta give the man credit for what he did on that field for us. Sure he threw two picks, but only one of those was really preventable by him. Shank missed a block and got Coker creamed as he was releasing the second one. I haven't been on the Coker bandwagon completely all season, but right now, I think he gives us the best chance to win. Is he going to make mistakes? Sure he is. Is he going to throw more interceptions than we've gotten accustomed to? Sure he is. Does the offense look better with him in the game? To me, it absolutely does. Maybe if they just give him the starting job without constantly looking over his shoulder, he'll play a little freer as well.

I think the only reason he hasn't been named the starter is that there appears to be some issues getting the play calls in when Coker is playing. If it takes a little longer for him to get the play call correctly, that's fine by me. Our coaching staff need to get the calls in quicker and give him a chance. If he can't do the whole get signs from the backup QBs and read flash cards thing, send the play in with a player from the sideline. GT does this with every play they run. If our coaching staff can't make simple adjustments like this if Coker gives us the best chance to win, then it's a damn shame they are making that much money.

Imagine him doing that with Barnett and this offensive line...

Agree, Saban has this team walkin on eggshells. Afraid to make a mistake, and you will. These players are way too tight. They need too loosen up and play with reckless abandon. Fumbles occur when you're getting clocked by your opponent, and the BAMA d is way too soft. Running backs are worried more about fumbling then scoring.
Alabama has been this way for several years. I don't think I would enjoy playing with this type of hyper-scrutiny and tyrannical amelioration. Bateman gets a pat on the butt after an interception, while Coker has to dislodge a pit bull from his ear lobe. Saban, listen, two words... anger---management. The temper? It's unbecoming.
