There's certainly smoke.

I'm going to go surfing...see what I can find out online. Any articles will be posted over in the new SEC, NCAA, Pro Sports forum.

Ha ha ha that's awesome. I really hope that he goes to nd. With mettenberger(?) there and young I guess he thought why would I ride the pine for three years and get my butt whipped by bama? But in all seriousness that abysmal showing from the offense might be a hard sell now.... I mean the stage doesn't get any bigger and talk about fail by the lsu offense. They looked silly out there.

I know a lot runs through your mind when being "courted" by all of these schools and having attention thrown your way. I'm wondering if the kid has issues. He appears to have "flip-flopped" as much as John Kerry in a presidentail election. While I understand he is an amazing talent, and may be the next Joe Montana, he also has some issue with making a decision. Last time I checked, indicisive QB's usually have a career full of bench warming and clip board toting.

Only time will tell. Good luck to the kid where ever he goes.

One thing that strikes me as odd.

When Gunner visited and talked with beat writers covering recruiting his mother was one of the most upfront, honest people Aaron Suttles said he's dealt with.

Now, Scarborough—Rivals LSU site, TigerBait.com—claims it's his mother that's keeping him away from LSU?

I've seen Scarborough make some outlandish statements over the last five years when it comes to Bama and Saban. So, to say it mildly, I have a hard time believing a thing that he puts out there.

LSU doesnt need him. Theyre going to be stupid talented next year

Doesn't need him? After Mettenberger, than only have Shepard. RS hasn't taken snaps at QB since his frosh year. After Mett, they're down to two true frosh.

They are thin at the QB position.

Talented team next season? Sure. They are replacing a lot.

Kiel is the tip of the iceburg, so says LBS LSU buddy.

He's hearing that at halftime some of the players approached CLM to suggest the JL be put in as QB, after all he did go 8-0 as a QB. When players loyal to JJ heard about it, the "discussion" that followed almost came to blows. CLM obvioulsy stayed the course, which could not help but alienate one of the two waring camps. Then in the 4th quarter CLM approached JL to tell him to get ready. Reportedly the players in the vacinity of JL heard him tell CLM to go [have relations with] himself.

WR RR chose to declare for the draft early, in spite of being told that he would be a a 3rd-4th rounder. This when he could have stayed and been positioned to be one of the leading WRs in the conference. (It was suggested that RR was in the JL camp.)

All this rumored to have gone down, one can't automatically rule out that lack-of team-cohesion is not a major factor in Kiel going to ND.
