This could upend things.

That may be the little straw that broke the great big camel's back. They are going to jump all over it.

A couple of thoughts here, maybe three, and then an opinion.

One, what are the chances his physicians would have caught this if he WASN'T involved with team activities.
Two, if we see this catch national attention, how many will point to point #1?

And, from a doctor when I mentioned this story to him...

"The notion you can determine COVID-relation to myocarditis-like heart issues is beyond current medical expertise."

Just to piggy back off of this, you can suffer myocarditis with a bad case of the flu, even The Clap!!!

I do honestly feel for this guy, but to reinerate what someone said earlier, this might not have been caught in time if he wasn't playing football. Secondly, my wife and I along with many of our friends wrestled with the decision when it came to how our children would be doing school. We all finally determined that getting back to normal and taking the chance that she might catch it far outweighed the alternative of living scared. Opinions of covid vary greatly but this living in a bubble has got to stop. Football is just a game but it's a good start to getting all our lives back to normal

You buckle up in the car...not because ur scared.....its because ur cautious....

Two things here: First, the mortality rate for deaths by car accident (1 in 103 chance) is higher than COVID-19 even with the mandated seat belt laws. And Second, businesses, schools, towns, & cities didn't change their functional operations based on car accidents or seat belt use.

Equating seat belt laws to masks & how society has managed their uses isn't really close at all.

Wasnt equating anything.... ( actually you did)
Just defining the differences between "scared" and "cautious"

To say everyone that follows the safety guidelines for C-19 is scared...is wrong...
Just like everyone that buckles up....is scared of accident.... thats wrong...
All such people are "cautious" as they should be...
