BTW, this trophy will be awarded at the winners home stadium.

Seems to me they're betting on the Coaches poll matching up with the CFP winner each season...if it didn't, can't see a big crowd at that trophy presentation.

Anybody can give out a trophy for anything, especially since there is no "official" NCAA Champion in D1A football. Until we have something the NCAA sponsors we will keep dealing with this crap.

And I dont get what "crap" yall are talking about? Name the last time any of these trophies talked about has awarded the National Championship to a team that DIDN'T win the BCS Championships. The BCS DID do away with all the "crap" I think you're attempting to reference.

in 2009, we got the following:

BCS (crystal football on top).....also known as the coaches' trophy
AP (shiny bronze football on top)
Macarthur (stadium)
AFCA (brown football on top)
