With just a televised scrimmage coming up this week, I feel that we can begin prepping for Auburn as a fanbase already:

Emotions were running high this game, I think we can all agree. While I don't have as long of a personal perspective on the Auburn program as TKK, Auburn does have the potential to finish the season #1 in a ranking that no one should aspire to. (Here's an older post that goes more in-depth to Auburn's long history of violations).

Auburn was definitely the better football team tonight. Whether Auburn will deeply regret not withholding Cam remains to be seen (but as they always say, when there's smoke, there's fire). We played with them until the end, and retrospectively the AU onside kick at the beginning of the 2nd half was absolutely the turning point, swinging the # of possessions battle in their favor.

However, the refs lost control of the game. Everyone knew that a whirlwind of emotions were also lining up between the hashes, and Auburn vented them early and often. I frankly lost count of the personal fouls, called and uncalled, primarily coming from Auburn's side of the ball. From Cam Newton's slap of a stiff arm, to...
Its a good writeup with video to support it. The concern with dirty play has always been an issue when facing Auburn for tidefans, but with the knowledge that they are basically going "all in" on this season, this game may quickly degrade this year in some bad ways. I feel that we may have to warn guys on being cautious this year, as well as taking up for teammates even if a penalty is incurred, even if it goes against hoow CNS traditionally operates.

:icon_salut:That's exactly right. Got to watch our tempers, play our spots correct and let them make the mistakes. The pressure is all on them plus its our house that we havent lost in for awhile. We have a nice streak goin at BD and we aint goin down that easy. :elephant:

1st. It was an AU home game. They can do what they want.

2nd. I have every reason to think Fairly will be up to his antics in the IRON Bowl. I've been saying all along that he is dirty. He is so talented & good at pursuit but he doesn't have to be so dirty. His time will come... one way or another.

I'm 100% certain CNS will be all over this & since the IRON Bowl isn't at AU that crook will be watched like a hawk.

:no-no:Yeah, i think they better keep their eyes on little cam about his stiffarms that nearly took off a dawgs helmet yesterday,(if he even plays lol). And fairly slammin qbs down after the ball has been thrown.

I Saw one of the AU D linemen Reach up as the ball was snaped and tug the face mack of the GA Player, just enough to get arround him.
I belive it was Fairly. That kinda stuff ie uncalled for. But with trash like the barn what do you expect. Newton and Farley are the worst.
I'm starting to think Tonya Harding wasn't as dunb as i thought she was.
