🏈 The biggest joke in Lexington now!

Well, since I live very near and work in Lexington, I can tell you, neither are probably too much on people's minds around here.

This is Basketball country and most folks are more interested in what Calipari is going to do for them this season than what happens on the football field.

That being said, I take the UK football game pretty seriously when we play them. It would be a hard pill to swallow if we actually lost to them.

Last year, I told some co-workers that I was so sure Bama would win that I would go out and buy a UK hat and wear it to work for a week if we lost. Not gonna do that again...I was on pins and needles that whole game hoping I wouldn't have to follow through with my promise.

UK is the kind of team that can sneak up on you and beat you if you take them lightly. They seem to have at least "one good one" in them every year, and they have nothing to lose, everything to gain by knocking off a top ranked team.

Yeah, his track record is not so great in that area huh BF?

On a side note, after the Gators trounced UK so badly this weekend, I might be able to get some nice seats in the UK section for the game this weekend. Keeping my ears open...

Ya know, UF dropped 63 on UK last season, and they had a good defense...in fact, UF's point total came when other teams were struggling to put a lot of points on the board.

It was around this time, last year, when the injury bug really started hitting them and that bug was in full force by the time Georgia came up on their schedule.

Point is, personally, I don't look at the scoreboard when a team plays UF and make judgments on it.

Hell, I did last weekend when UT held Tebow and company in check—and Ohio lit their secondary up this past weekend in Knoxville.

Kentucky 105th against the run just saying! Ingram 150-upchurch 85-richardson-75

That's a number that might end up being accurate in the end, but it's largely skewed by the Florida game.

After their first two games, they had only allowed 195 yards rushing on the season. After Florida, it's now 557. The average per game went from the mid 90's to a number close to 200.

A better judge on their rushing defense might be looking at Louisville. The Cardinals aren't putting up the same numbers we are (they are close,) but Kentucky did keep them from running at the pace they have been this season.

True but Arkansas kept our running game some what in check and I just think our running game is going to get really lathered up this wk...

Rich Brooks is a good coach and I am not taking Ken. lightly. I just feel we will dominate this game!

You may be right. It's too early in the week for me to make a call on how the game will go...

I do know this, and I'll have a piece up on it soon...

Their offense presents us some challenges we haven't see so far this season.

After last year's Kentucky game I'm more than concerned about Hartline and Locke. Hartline is efficient, and Locke is fast. Seems like they had at least one or two beasts on D as well. My heart will skip a beat every time we kick off to Locke.

We all know we should dominate Kentucky, but should usually doesn't put points on the board and play solid D. It will be interesting to see how we play on the road before heading out to Ole Miss. I'd love to see our road dominance continue. :a:
