šŸˆ The Big Ten has announced that it has removed the minimum six-game requirement to be eligible for the conference's title game.

So, Gary Barta is the Athletic Director at Iowa (a B1G member) and is the leader of the CFB playoff committee. Last night he's meeting with the group members to create their rankings for this week.

But today he's meeting with his peers, fellow B1G athletic directors, to decide " "What should be done about getting Ohio State in position to make the playoff?"

This is not a comment about whether OSU should be in the playoff conversation. It's a comment about how absurd of a position this committee has found themselves in this morning.

Not unexpected... To many $$$ at stake. Create rules but remove them when it is inconvenient. No consequences to your politically driven rules. That is the world we live in.

Seems like a few of the schools are being reminded of where they are in the B1G pecking order. Not that it should come as a surprise or there is anything they can do about it.

Then why put this in place? Now change it, because it keeping tOS out of the B1G game. Everyone I have listening too. All are saying tOS will get into the playoff? Would the B1G done it for another school?

It's all about the money, and always has been. For all of the posturing and posing that the Big 10 has done about academics over the years, looking down their noses at the SEC and claiming that they were better than the SEC because they actually cared about academics, they are greedy, money grubbing little !&@holes like everyone else. If OSU does make the playoffs I hope they get obliterated.
