The Battle Plan.
Thanks for checking out the first installment of my blog on rolltide.com. One of my primary objectives since taking over as Director of Athletics last March is to find an effective way to communicate directly with you, our fans and stakeholders.
I am excited about what's happening throughout our great University, and especially our Department of Athletics. Our plan is to share with you the great things our student-athletes, coaches, and staff are doing, not only in the competitive arena, but also in achieving the three tenets of our Department of Athletics Mission:
The University of Alabama made a big difference in my life. Lessons learned in the classroom were essential to my preparation to face the world. Lessons learned on the playing field, through competition at the highest levels may have had an even greater impact on my life. It is my hope that our department can make a positive difference in all of our student-athletes' lives during their time here, as we prepare them to reach their full potential as contributing members of society.

- Recruit and develop student-athletes to compete at the highest levels in intercollegiate athletics in all of our sports,
- Educate and prepare our student-athletes to compete at the highest levels in life after graduation,
- Accomplish the above with honor and integrity.
