Nice find Porter. ;tr
I was pretty dissapointed that we didn't move up to at least second in capacity in the SEC with last year's expansion. Of course it was only one side, but without the skyboxes...there is no telling what our capacity would be. Hopefully if we expand this time, we will take the #1 spot. It might not matter to some fans of other teams, but a 105k+ stadium full of screaming Bama fans...definitely means a lot to us. In fact, there is only 3 stadiums in the NCAA that even compare to SEC stadiums. Michigan Stadium 107,501 , Beaver Stadium 107,282 , and Ohio Stadium 101,568 which sits behind Neyland Stadium at #4. If Bryant-Denny stadium were to move up in that kind of company, it would really be special.
Here is the capacity rankings for the SEC:
12. Vanderbilt Vanderbilt Stadium - 39,790
11. Mississippi State Davis Wade Stadium - 55,082
10. Ole Miss Vaught-Hemingway Stadium - 60,850
9. Kentucky Commonwealth Stadium - 67,530
8. Arkansas Razorback Stadium - 76,000
7. South Carolina Williams-Brice Stadium - 80,250
6. Auburn Jordan-Hare Stadium - 87,451
5. Florida Ben Hill Griffin Stadium - 88,548
4. Alabama Bryant-Denny Stadium - 92,138
3. LSU Tiger Stadium - 92,400
2. Georgia Sanford Stadium 92,746
1. Tennessee Neyland Stadium 104,079
