The Alabama Football Twitter Account Is Suspended

The Crimson Tide program is known for its intense discipline on the field. Did its social media account step out of line?

It is an oddity for a football Twitter account to be suspended, but perhaps it is for copyright reasons, as ‘Bama beat writer Aaron Suttles hypothesized.



Nick Saban probably isn’t happy with this, even if you know he doesn’t care much about social media. He probably just doesn’t want to be bothered.



This isn’t the first time college football Twitter accounts have run afoul. There were some inexplicably suspended on National Signing Day in February.

Our guess? The account will be back by the morning, if not sooner.

Twitter is a crazy place sometimes.

well, it's more like a "partnership". but google is way stronger and has way more capital than twitter. so i think it's just a matter of time before they own it, outright.
