It Takes Eleven

Okay.

I've tried to concentrate on work, and some travel earlier this week was a good distraction.
I've spent time with loved ones as we gave thanks and ate to excess.
I took care of some cyber shopping last night as I watched Ole Miss and State bludgeon each other.

Those diversions have run their course.

We are now one day away from the game.

Any attempts to push this looming event from my mind is now futile. I've been at work for a few hours, holding down the fort with a skeleton crew and knocking out a few things, but as the morning builds I realize there is no chance of me focusing on anything else. I will take a late lunch to take in a bit of the Slow 12 showdown between Iowa and Nebraska today. I will get up in the morning and dig a bit on a patio/firepit area I'm finishing up.

Don't ask me to make any significant decisions, don't ask me to perform any critical analyses. I might as well be texting and driving - you'll not get my full attention.

It's almost here.

RTR,

Tim

My guess is there are 16/17 games being broadcast today and there's not a single one that qualifies as "background noise" for doing something else.

I'll watch the LSU vs UArk game...but that's only because there's money riding on its outcome.

Side observation: With so many people talking about how the secondary market has pushed the everyday fan out of attending games looking at today's schedule over on ESPN.com has six games at $30 or less including a $2 ticket price for Miami vs Pitt.

At two bucks for a ticket, with Miami and Pitt playing, I'd still rather watch that type of game at home...price having nothing to do with attending.

We'll be driving to Cincinnati so that should provide a distraction. Then, tomorrow, birthday party for a one year old... until it gets close to game time. Wild Wings in Ohio State country, and me wearing my crimson gear. This should be fun. Tim, I'm like you though. I can't think of much else.
