🏈 Thanks Meyer

Unintended consequences. The immediate benefit for us is that by CUM stepping down now, this will consume the national college football media for quite a while. In so doing, it takes the spotlight off our game and the "Bama will destroy Texas" hype that, I believe, can't be of help to us. Whether our players listen to the hype or not may not matter, Texas' players are feeling disrespected and it gives them extra motivation. With the BCSCG becoming "page two" behind the Meyer departure, Bama can continue with their business-like preparations and Texas loses some of their burning desire to prove something.

So "thank you CUM, you're timing couldn't have been better for us". I still wish the best for him and his family.
