For the past 8-9 years, we have had the pleasure of witnessing one of, if not the best runs ever. While Nick has instilled "the process" into almost all of the players who have played, he has also needed the help of very good assistant coaches. Coaches come and go with our program, but Kirby has forever left his imprint on being an important cog in this dynasty we are lucky enough to be fans of. Georgia has gotten themselves an outstanding person and an outstanding coach. You will be missed Kirby. Thank you for all you have done for the University of Alabama.

I see this "I'll root for Kirby until they play Bama" a lot and simply don't get it.

A strong UGA comes at the expense of other teams in the SEC. I hope UGA crashes and burns under Kirby ... not a thing against him, but wanting another SEC to have success?

Did you guys realize... Our D only gave up 1 TD to Clemson from the start of the 2nd quarter, until less than 5 minutes remaining in the 4th? That's pretty darn impressive. 40 minutes of football, 1TD, 2 FG's. Well done men. We keep hearing about our gassed defense, and they were obviously getting yards on us, but they really only broke on 2 late TDs playing more of a prevent D, aside from the 1st quarter.

I have gone back and forth while looking at this thread. I do appreciate the things that Kirby Smart brought and helped accomplish during his tenure here at BAMA. A part of me wants him to do well at UGA, while the other part hopes he crashes and burns there much like Derek Dooley did at UT. I will simply say thanks for your services and hopefully you end up as an NFL assistant or come back to BAMA one day.
