šŸˆ Texas Tech vs Bama, Cowboys stadium 2012 ?

Bama is not going to play more than one OOC game away from Tuscaloosa in any one year so that would mean moving the Tulane game again. Or just going ahead and buying out of it. Would hate to see the latter because that game is better for Bama fans than having a 50-50 ticket split neutral site game. Plenty of tickets(more than 50%) and a nice trip to NO for those who still like to go to NO.

The al.com writers also dont think its happening, but that a game is being worked on for Alabama in the Cowboys stadium, which is cool because their stadium is awesome town and Id have to get tickets.

"UA has been searching for a high-profile, non-conference game for 2012, and a neutral-site game would best fit Alabama’s scheduling needs since the Crimson Tide could not accommodate a return game before 2015 for a home-and-home series."

So I guess this means that Bama has changed their policy of playing 7 games per year in Tuscaloosa. Have played at least 7 per year there ever since all home games were moved to Tuscaloosa. And that was before the 12th game was added.

A big alumni base in the Big D. I'd love to see the game, even though I don't live there, unfortunately. Why no games North of the Mason-Dixon line? We always seem to be setting up these big intersectional rivalries, but nothing ever north of Kentucky. I suppose Penn State at Happy Valley answers that question, but there are some big time programs up there that create lots of interest (Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska), and of course Oklahoma, which we've done in the last 10 years.

no, it states "Texas Tech agrees to '12 game vs. Bama". Doesn't say Bama agreed, in fact it clearly states the opposite.

"That's not something we've agreed to," Saban told ESPN's Chris Low. "We have a lot of options for 2012. We're in the process of weighing them. That's one of them."

There are a lot of things that make recruiting better, but can anything be better than winning the National Title? Man, we are now at the mountain top, and the goal is to stay there!

Those dark days of 2001 and 2002 seem so far away now....

Bama and Oklahoma there would be good, from a football fan's stand point. But I suppose the point is to make a strong showing in a prime recruiting area, so the traditonal TT fits the card better than a traditional Oklahoma.

I suppose Bama vs. Miami in Orlando would be another good one, thumbing our noses at the Gators. Of course Tampa would do as well.

But the one I'm waiting for is Bama vs. Texas A&M in New Orleans.
