Politicians refuse to have oversight on legitimate monopolies like Disney, Amazon, or AT&T, but they are happy to try to have oversight on college football teams? Politicians are about as useless as a one legged man at an arse kicking contest. And I include both sides. They're all useless.

I haven't found the exact quote although I've heard it a few times; it's on yesterday's College Football Live.

"If you're as big and great as you think you are you should have made the Big 12 equal or better than the SEC: you didn't do it." (sic)

I'm left shaking my head hearing the Texas athletic director being accused of letting down the Big 12. Is there a better example of other schools and athletic departments riding on the coattails of Texas?
