šŸ’¬ Texas Monthly: Willie Nelson - "That's just the way Willie rolls"

I worked a concert of his. I went back stage, and he walked out of his dressing room just as I was passing by. He looked up and said, " I'm not signing any autographs." I looked back at him dead pan and said, "Neither am I." The look on his face was priceless. I just kept walking.
Haha, good one. Wish I was as quick witted when I met Bob Hope backstage at JSU, when I was working the event. I was working side by side with a quite lovely lass, whom I took out and back in, during the foloowing week. Bob winked at me, then addressed her with the following, "Hello sweetheart, do you know the difference between an egg salad sandwich and sex?", she replied "no", he then said "let's have lunch sometime." He then strode away before either of us could say anything.

Guarded Hopes night lodging in VN.....was hyped up about it...til i found out that he was reported ...for security reasons... to be in halfdozen locations....
I ended up with empty hut....lol

Not a Willie Nelson fan at all. Prefer Johnny Cash out of the Highway Men and Hank Williams Jr. over Willie eight days out of the week.

I'd mix them all up and throw in some Waylon Jennings and I'd be happily go down memory lane. On a contemporary bent, I could set up a playlist of Turnpike Troubadours, Reckless Kelly, Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks, Cross Canadian Ragweed (or Canada and Boland's new bands), Whiskey Myers and Riley Green and enjoy.

RTR,

Tim

Yeah, I love some Ragweed. Whiskey Meyers has jumped up my list a lot in the last year. Them boys can jam. I was pumped to see them on Yellowstone back in Season 1.
