I don't know the guy's name. It's a screen capture from one of Melodie McDaniels works...this one of a guy in a motel in the work she did with The Cranberries. Great video shot in greyscale. I think he fits the song's meaning quite well.
Willie Gaston was UA defensive safety in the Stallings/Bill Oliver years. Brother Oliver’s rule for DB’s was to play zone if confused. It was said of Willie that he played a lot of zone. I do remember him dropping an interception vs UF in the SEC championship game that we lost 24-23. He muffed the interception in the end zone, next play, TD pass for the gators.
