🏈 Terry, you were right

I hope he gets it together and matures into an adult. It's these kinds of things that made me question his ability as a center. Now it's getting into life and what success he might, or might not, have.

I absolutely do not fall in that category. He let Dyer skate by....how'd that work out?

It's tough and it sucks so close to kickoff but this has to get fixed one way or another. There have been too many issues to let something like this go. He was found passed out. Give me a damn break!

Birdman, it wasn't said to be one game, it was stated as indefinite. Now indefinite in the days of Ole Pat Dye meant the first series at worst. I didn't know he was found passed out! Kid has a problem and 1 game doesn't and won't solve the problem.

Chizik never actually said indefinite. His indefinite suspension are equivalent to kicking a kid off the team. He just hasn't said how long it would be so people have reported it as indefinite.

I'm sick of Dismukes for a number of reasons, stuff like this being a large part of it

Like I said, the barn can have him. Do they not do ANY homework on their recruits? Not to mention, he was never a "dominating" center at the high school level. Any defensive lineman who was offered a scholarship from ANY school, took him to the woodshed.

Yet, our staff spent a lot of time and effort recruiting Reese.

His potential as an offensive lineman has never been in doubt. He's got a wealth of talent at his disposal.

The question I posed from day one when this conversation started several months ago wasn't whether he'd make a good offensive lineman. I questioned his maturity.

It was just my opinion, but I questioned the ability and the character of both Reese and our kid from Russellville, from day one. I saw them both play more than once and I did not come away impressed by either. The Russellville kid looked good in the costume, but I had to ask my son after the game, what number he was wearing.

Honestly, if you had to ask someone who Brent Calloway was at a Russellville game then you weren't paying much attention to the game. I saw him a few times, particularly when he played against Muscle Shoals. He was their all star stud on both sides of the ball and showed it to be honest.

My son played defense, so i was pretty tuned in to what was happening. Maybe he just didn't do diddly against us. I figured if I had to ask, due to them not calling his name over the PA, then he was just a bunch of hype because he looked the part. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen that situation unfold. Sure, our kids talked about him before the game, so I didn't do any "research." I figured I would see what he was all about when we played them. Like I said, I had to ask which one he was after the game. I did enjoy the fried oreos at Russellville stadium, though.

Well, the few times I saw him he showed out, and like Terry says about Reece he obviously did enough to catch the eye of our coaching staff. If our coaching staff is trying to recruit obvious duds then we have an issue and someone needs to be held accountable.
