I realize most folks are loving Ingram and Coffee right now, but I'm really a Terry Grant guy. Do you think the reason we didn't see him very much is because you don't combat speed with speed?

I think he still has problems hitting the holes. When he did come in there was a huge whole in from of him, but he still tried to cut it outside.

Dont get me wrong I like the guy. He can make a defense look stupid. I hope to see him more.

I thought Ingram and Coffee did great carrying most of the load last night. The fact that Upchurch and Grant didn't get as many carries is only going to help us out later on in the season. Because lets face it, Grant's body is not built to take a SEC type pounding for a whole season.

Like someone already mentioned, TG is much better in space and catching the ball.

Roy is more of a clean up guy right now, but he can make things happen after the catch as well!!

As I see it, Mark and Glen are the grinders and Grant and Upchurch are the blazers!!

When teams load up to stop the power running then you will see Grant with a 100 yard game. I'm not worried about our offense. If they pull up the linebackers to stop the run and the saftey to stop the TE. you will see us going vertical to Jones and McCoy. We have several weapons on offense its nice to not have to use them all to beat the #9 team in the nation.

Didn't Clemson load up and they still couldn't stop us!!!

I remember several times when they hit Mark Ingram squarely, and he still gained positive yards.

You're right. I saw one play that really stuck out to me. That was when Ingram ran the ball and put his shoulder down and PLOWED through one guy, and then put his shoulder down and hit TWO guys and still nearly got through them. They brought him down but Ingram still got an extra yard or 2 after hitting them.

I was also wondering where TG was. Upchurch didn't do too shabby when he came in. He had a couple ggod runs and a reception for a first down. All I can say is, We're loaded at RB and it really doesn't concern me WHO is in there to run the ball. I love them all. Even if TG didn't get to do too much, we still know he's pretty good and fast once he finds the hole and hits the open field.

If Coffee and Ingram continue to play like last night, I don't care to see any other RB getting totes this year. It was more of give it to the hot backs, with Coffee and Ingram running so hard...there was no reason to let another back carry it. Mid to late 4th when the game was in hand, was obviously the best time though.

TG only came in due to the back from the previous play losing a shoe. They ran TG up the middle and he gained 2-3 yards, then came out.

TG seems to me to be more of a Reggie Bush style back, very deadly in open space of the screens of pitches.

All in all, very happy with our running last night

If we only still had Jimmy Johns at TB...one can dream.

It seemed like Ingram got the majority of his carries in the 1st half. I only got to see up through the 3rd quarter because of the ABC/ESPN yanks cutting to the WHOLE last 7 minutes of a 2 possession MSU/Cal game where the clock stopped due to incomplete passes pretty frequently. Did he get the rock more in the 4th? I was very impressed by how hard he fought for every inch on every play. His legs never stopped pumping and he was falling forward every time he was tackled.
