-Turned the Barn around after Dye left them in the crapper.

For a DII school...this is a good hire.
His name alone will help in recruiting.

VERY good hire. I wish JSU would have fired Crowe and hired Bowden.

Frankly, I wish JSU would fire Crowe and hire anybody.

DuBose, Tommy Bowden, Jeff Bower...there are TONS of coaches on the market that would be good for a transitional D1 team like JSU.

Okay. I've been talking to friends and the more we talk about this, the better this hire is looking. Putting aside the fact he coached for auburn, I am really liking this hire. Just think about the recruits he can bring in! Yeah, this was the best hire UNA could make....it's just gonna take some time for me to get used to him. :lol:

It's a good hire for UNA. He'll have the Diddy pipeline going in no time.

I wonder if UNA approached Bobby Wallace about the opening before Bowden?

While this might be a good hire for UNA, does anyone else think the guy is going to be a short timer there, looking for another Big d1-A job in 3 years max? As a native of the area, UNA is a legendary program, and it's good for them to get a big name after Hudspeth took off, but I just don't see Bowden being around long.

You know it's pretty much a done deal that Terry Grant is transferring to UNA, right? So yeah..i'd say Terry's name does help in recruiting.
