Yeah, the force of a man hitting you in the throat with his hand/fingers in a defensive fighting move compared to that is different. My grandfather showed me the power of that move as a boy, and you're right, it'll take you down quick. The force he hit that tennis ball to me wasn't very threatening. I played baseball my entire life and into my first year of college, so I guess I've taken enough off my body, face, neck, groin, legs to know what would hurt me, and I just feel that wouldn't.

In the end, different pain tolerances and she is a women. Didn't seem malicious to me, but hopefully she recovers, as I never want to see anyone hurt.
