Because it included Alabama to be on probation until CNS retired. Why didn't they accept UT's self imposed?

Well, I'm hoping they want to make an example out of the Viles with their new makeup and rules. Why didn't they accept UT's self imposed?
AU has been hit plenty though...Boogs and Viles like teflon, nothing sticks.
Lately? The barn should be burned down for all they have gotten away with. Same with the Viles.AU has been hit plenty though...
Could have been more...especially with the CAM payoff...
Yep....never figured how they skated with Cam....Lately? The barn should be burned down for all they have gotten away with. Same with the Viles.
I don't know about that.A lot of chatter that will likely not lead to anything. Been my experience when talking about the Viles and Barn. Hope I am wrong and they indeed burn it to the ground.
They are on probation now.Lately? The barn should be burned down for all they have gotten away with. Same with the Viles.
What does that actually impact with the on field product? I guess I just can't get past how all of the crap was supposed to come out on the bag man an nothing ever did. I am sure there is more to probabtion than I understand but it doesn't seem to impact anything of significance. Maybe I am wrong. They are on probation now.
Two coaches suspended, players suspended, and the program was put on probation. (Fines, minimal, and in spite of them being levied there's little impact.) Recruiting was sanctioned in several ways like fewer visits, fewer scholarships, and coaches forced to stay off the recruiting trail. What does that actually impact with the on field product?
Yeah I want them sactioned so badly they drop competivley to the level of Vanderbilt football. That is my wish for what they did with Newton. Yep I am bitter .You may not like the degree of sanctions levied, but you can't say they are escaping sanctions.
Actually......until last year...they were BELOW that of Vandy...lolYeah I want them sactioned so badly they drop competivley to the level of Vanderbilt football. That is my wish for what they did with Newton. Yep I am bitter .
I was talking about the Barn but hey it equally applies to the Viles.Actually......until last year...they were BELOW that of Vandy...lol
And....some delicious sanctions....
.....24 scollys lost over next 3 years...
.....lost of playoff and bowl eligibility for 2023-2024
.....have to pay Pruitt all money
.....remove all mentions of PhatPhil...ever
.....forfiet of all games won ( not many i know)...for all those years
.....can not play Rocky Top for 10 year period
Those seem fair
Thanks.within 6 to 12 weeks.
Out of curiosity, how long afterwards would the ruling come out?
A caveat: We've seen situations where we thought the NCAA would give a program a slap on the wrist only to see heavy sanctions. We've also seen schools who deserve heavy sanctions receive a slap on the wrist.within 6 to 12 weeks.

Bottom line: Who really knows how they'll rule?
All that said what I've been sharing is still the belief coming from their camp. More to the point, they are expecting to hear the final ruling from the NCAA soon. They are expecting good news and are also suggesting we'll see JP in the role we've been pointing to for several months: analyst, secondary.
