Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, among the top defensive back prospects who could be available for the 2014 NFL Draft, underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee, according to the Instagram account of teammate John Fulton, and played through the injury during the Crimson Tide's 2013 push for a third straight national title.

Clinton-Dix, a junior free safety who will decide in the coming weeks whether to return to college next year or declare draft eligibility, is one of the top talents on the Crimson Tide's defense.

Wrote Fulton, a senior cornerback: "Salute to my lil brudda @_ha6 (@HaHa_CD6 twitter) My young bull pushed through the pain and played wit a torn meniscus for the squad. I'm prayin that your surgery went well and that you have a speedy recovery."

Projected 1st rounder, some have him as the #1 S in the draft...love him to stay, hope he goes.

I don't know how bad the damage is to the meniscus. If it isn't too bad the recovery time is a matter of a few weeks.

My first thought was he's getting it taken care of now in prep for the combine.

I would absolutely love if the Eagles could take him .. We have some secondary issues. Plus, we already have a Lesean (McCoy) and Desean (Jackson) .. I would really love having a Ha'sean.
