šŸˆ TCU QB Trevone Boykin allegedly hit a bicycle patrol officer following a bar fight

Okay, I'm good. From the video, it looks like Trevon was WAY out of line and deserved everything he got.

How so? Still lots of information the video doesn't tell, what triggered the eviction from inside, what was said outside of the establishment, etc. I would imagine lots of people were in the wrong during this altercation, he just happened to draw the short end of the stick.

Whatever happened inside or before the officer showed up, doesn't give Boykin the right to continue in violence. He could have been vindicated with other means. Instead, he made things much worse for himself.

Looks to me like the cop (with the arrow above him) might have swung on Boykin first...too hard to tell.

Perhaps you guys see something else.

I'm still sticking with the view of lots of details the video doesn't show. I'm sure more details will come out soon enough that shed more light on the events. I'm not ready to condemn him just yet...

I can only go by what was reported. Boykin got into a scuffle inside and when he swung, he hit an employee instead of his target. Based on that, the management threw him out. Then we see the video. We don't know what was said, if anything, but Boykin hasn't disputed any of the accounts (yet). If management doesn't want you there, you leave. You don't have a right to be there.

Not sure how anyone can excuse his behavior. If he was hit out of nowhere, sure, protect yourself. Something tells me that wasn't the case. The issue is too many egos in this country allow words, freaking words from others determine their future. Who cares if someone pops off at the mouth, you're schooled by coaches and administration to understand you're under a microscope and others will do anything to express jealousy and bring you to their level. As someone under the microscope you would think he would be smarter than that, but apparently not. Why didn't he just go the other direction while kicked out? It appears he came back for more. He had way more to lose than anyone else at that bar, and he allowed them to win. To me it shows his true character and intelligence that he would do this bowl week while NFL eyes would be on him for sure. Boykin failed that test. I have no doubt he'll still get a look to make millions, but why make it harder on yourself?
