So sad .. Keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers.
COLLEGE STATION ā In the realm of something much more important than any football game this week, the 2 month old daughter of Texas A&M freshman defensive tackle Isaiah Golden, Avery Golden, passed away suddenly earlier this week in a Lake Charles, La., hospital.
Her funeral was Wednesday in Lake Charles. No reason was given for her death in an online obituary from Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
Goldenās status for Saturdayās game against top-ranked Alabama is undetermined, although it will likely be left up to him if he wants to play against the Crimson Tide. The touted 6-foot-2, 310-pounder out of Carthage turned in a solid outing last Saturday in the Aggiesā 65-28 victory over Sam Houston State.
The Aggies are no stranger to tragedy this year. A&M defensive lineman Polo Manukainiu was killed in a car accident along with two others in July in New Mexico. Avery Goldenās notice from Johnson Funeral Home is here.
