🏈 Talking heads already bashing about where we should be ranked.

Just heard Mayock and the other guy talking about dropping us to #9 or worse and behind Auburn and really putting us down.

How quickly they all forget that we just pounded UF the week before and that this was our third ranked team in a row and this one was on the road (two of them were on the road) and USC had a bye week to prepare; not to mention Garcia had a career game.

I know we should drop, but how about taking circumstances into account. And how about those other teams ahead of us. Sure AU beat USCe, but they did so barely and they did so at home and that's the only tough team they played. They almost lost to MSU on the road and Clemson lost to UNC today. Oregon I can buy into, they look real good. But how about Nebraska? They haven't played a single ranked team and have beaten up on the likes of Western Kentucky, Idaho, and South Dakota State. OSU barely beat Miami - at home and have played NO ONE else. They get Wisconsin next week. Don't even get me started on Boise State currently beating up on Toledo and having played ZERO currently ranked teams.

Ahh, whatever... nothing any of us can do about it. It will all shake out in the end.

I have no problem w/ the ranking b/c the only thing relevant to 'Bama is winning out of which I think is not very realistic at this point. Not trying to be chicken little, but there is too much going against this team right now. And I don't give a rats b/hole but teams having Bi-weeks before us make a difference. At least when you are # 1 with a big target on your back & 5 other teams are playing us after their Bi. IT WILL add up.

We shouldn't fall out of the top 10. Maybe 10, because we sure didn't act like a top team today. Irregardless, winning will solve everything, and a 1 loss SEC team that wins it's title game is going to get a shot at the NC. One has to start hoping that Ohio State or Oregon go down eventually, because neither plays a title game, and both are looking very stout right now. Yes, I'm ignoring Boise and TCU and Utah, on purpose. Rightfully or wrongfully. When the BCS rankings start coming out, those crap schedules they play will come to a head.

My guess is no worse than 7 or 8--it all depends on whether the poll voters want to drop you guys below the other unbeatens. Two top 10 teams lost today. My guess is:

1. Ohio State
2. Oregon
3. Boise State
4. TCU
5. Oklahoma
6. Nebraska
7. Auburn
8. Alabama
9. Utah
10. Arkansas

Again, that is simply by virtue of the other teams being unbeaten. I could legitimately see Alabama falling just outside the top 5, however, so there could be quite the variance from what anyone guesses tonight.

How about we win our games first, then win the West, then win the SECCG and see what happens? Screw the polls.

Yep.

I didn't listen to the talking heads when they said how great we were. Why would I listen to them talk about how bad we are? We're only as good as we prove it on the field.
