šŸˆ Swinney said he thinks Clemson should be getting consideration as a top-25 team:

I have always been more of a Swinney fan than most on here but he is not handling a down year very well... Probably would be wise to speak less.
I'm with you in regards to being a Swinney fan. He is a Bama alum and has a great story and I have always admired him. If I were a Clemson fan, I would view this as, the head coach sticking up for his team. Yes they have sucked ass this year, but he does make a valid point about most of his losses have come from some pretty good teams.

I don't know why the wheels fell off this year, but I am really looking forward to see how/if he bounces back next year. That will say a lot about him as a coach IMO.

Never cared for him. He's too much of a goober that feels the need to justify himself and his program at every TV and media opportunity. That's not to say don't boast for your team, but he's always got a stat ready in his head to make it sound like his team is the greatest and also the most scrutinized team that's ever stepped on the field. I can do without him for sure. I like he's a good Christian man and has a fanbase that loves him, but outside of that I don't care for him.

That being said, he's not wrong that they lost to three decent teams. Professing that still doesn't make his team any better, because their offense is absolutely horrible. His quarterback has been a major disappointment no matter how he would spin it. For that reason they should not be ranked. His defense is solid, but they can't do it all.

A valid point on what platform? Remember where he voted Ohio State? 11th, and he's got three losses.

I am an admitted regionalist. I openly pull for Alabama people to succeed even if they went to the school down yonder. After that I branch out to other southern states. Cooking competition to DWTS that’s just the way I am. Just by being blessed by GOD to be born and raised southern…..got my thumbs up.

A valid point on what platform
On the platform that the coach is speaking up for his team. Much like Saban has done as recent as the LSU game. We were favored by 25 or so points. Supposed to skull drag them and our running game is non existent. I liken it to several years back we were supposed to go into Arkansas and do the same to them, and we end up with a one point victory. It is those times CNS comes to the rescue of his team (in front of the media and fans). "Hey, a win in the SEC is a big deal". That is what I see Dabo doing here. He is trying to build up his guys publicly. Build morale and motivate them. That's how I see it.

I think it's technically the opposite here though. Alabama is supposed to crush everyone, so a close game that we have to show our grit is different than losing to every good team you play. Saban isn't giving those speeches for games like Texas A&M. He knew LSU would be a tough one no matter what the fans and media were thinking. They still have Top 10 recruiting classes on their sideline and beat us out for some of the same guys. He knew what they had. Dabo is giving his team a moral boost by saying "we lost to good teams". Well who have you beaten? Those close game wins came against Georgia Tech, Boston College, and Syracuse. Not exactly the kind of win that's gonna get you over the hump or have anyone else believing you've accomplished something. That'd be like us beating Vanderbilt, Missouri, or South Carolina by six points and being proud of it.
