šŸˆ Suspension possible for Dial as SEC reviews hit on Murray

That was as bush league as anything holding off the suspension until after the Bowl game., but I don't thnk that was the B1G making that call, strictly OSU.

That decision was three fold—OSU, B1G, and the NCAA signed off on it.

Serving five games is one thing until you see those leaving school and not serving any suspension. Tressell claiming he wasn't going to leave and then leaving.

OSU then deciding they wouldn't sacrifice a bowl game the following year along with those instances is a large part of why they weren't in a bowl game this year.

I could be wrong, but I thought I had read somewhere that "when" to serve the suspensions was left to OSU. I wonder how much influnence the bowl had in this? Tressel wasn't going to leave until he was pretty much forced out after he was caught lieing.

The story that I remember hearing at the time was that the Sugar Bowl asked for and got some assurances that these guys would play before they extended the invite to OSU.

Yeah Joe, that is the way I remember it too, at least that was the way it was spun. Just the same there was zero resistance from OSU or the Big-Ten as far as complying with the request

I'd be shocked if Slive even gave it a thought considering Alabama's next game.
You obviously are thinking Slive will make a decision based on helping (on maybe better said "not hurting") Alabama's chances at a BCS title. Me, not so much.

Biggest question now is WHEN are we going to hear something? It's Wednesday. I miraculously lived thru the game the other night and got thru Kirby Part I. How much more can you continue to ask of me?

Now that you mention it I recall something like that as well—"to ensure a competitive balance..."

Have any of y'all heard of anyone outside Alabama circles talking about the Dee eye gauge?
Nope. CBS showed it one time. After seeing that Dee did nothing wrong and the thUGA player gouged his eyes it was never mentioned again. Unlike the Dial hit which was replayed between plays at least 4 times and commented on by the entire CBS staff at halftime. Wheres the outrage?

I guess when you are the most dominant program in the country haters gonna hate. Everything one of our guys does is run up the flagpole and played over and over while lesser programs, like thUGA, get a pass. Revel in it Bama fans. This is how we know Bama is on top. Everyone else is hating and praying that Bama loses. Its the price of being the best.
