🏈 Sugar Bowl Thread: OU vs Bama 8:30 EST ... Roll Tide Roll!!!

To get this started, I'll drop a few notes here and there throughout the morning...

One, sort of non-football related, to start.

The Tide will have 28 guys on the field tonight who already have their degrees. That's the most of any team in a bowl game this year.

There's been talk about allowing the offense to "open it up" tonight.

Part of the reasoning behind that is to allow AJ to reach the 3000 yard mark on the season. With 324 yards passing, he'd become the first Bama QB to throw for 3000 in a season...if I'm not mistaken.

Much like 2010, tonight's game will be the healthiest the team has been since roughly week four of this season. Take a guy like Belue...likely the healthiest he's been since the summer.

I have my doubts we'll see Drake tonight.

As mentioned, there's been a bit of a problem with his desire to remain in the dog house which, coincidentally, evidently has an affect on whether he has attended class.

I am out the door, on my way to New Orleans, in about 15 minutes. About a 3-hour drive from Pensacola. Having dinner in the French Quarter then on to the Superdome for the game. I am excited!!. Hope I'm a happy camper on the drive home tonight. I attended the Capital One Bowl in Orlando when we demolished Mich State. Hope to see a repeat of that tonight. I am wearing my colors. Got my camera and will get some pictures. Have a good one today folks. RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting stat for the game tonight:

Bama had 61 wins from 2008-2012 tying the program with Boise State as having the most wins in a five year span.

With a W tonight, Bama ties its own record notching its 61st win since 2009.

Very disappointed in Drake if this is the case... It sounds like a Yeldon/Henry combo tonight. I pray that our guys are ready. The last Sugar Bowl was disastrous

It is what it is...

We've dealt with a few attitude problems throughout the year. It's one of those things you seldom hear talked about but Saban did touch on it briefly yesterday.

Part of it is bred by that 5* type mentality, part due to kids seeing NFL dollars when they've yet proven they deserve those.
