🏈 Steve Sarkisian sees Texas-sized target on Longhorns in SEC: ‘We’re everybody’s biggest game’

Lincoln takes another approach with his measured comments

Lincoln Riley says move to the SEC is like scheduling an exciting non-conference game well down the road. Says there’s excitement but that the focus is on the 2021 season

It'll be fun to play a new team that has a name, but he knows SEC rivalries are more than a name and the size of your wallet. After a few skull draggings by Saban, Texas and Oklahoma will fall in line like the others. Oklahoma may give us some fits like when Manziel was at A&M.

Once these two arrive I don't believe we will ever have a 13-0 team come from the SEC again. Texas will have to dig deep and become more physical than the past otherwise they will find the week after week grind not to their liking regardless to how much money they have in the checkbook. PAC12 football is a game while the SEC is life or death.

That is really a stupid thing to say though
Regardless!!!!!!!!!!

I guess his few years at bama has gone blank. Actually Oklahoma has better history and tradition.
texas can't even win big 12.
legend in their own mine. Like talking to UGA people
Steve taking the NORMAL route of blowing hot air up his fanbase's azz.

As a fan I prefer the tempered route especially when the record over the past several years don't bode well .

Texas has one 1st round draft choice since 2013. That almost seems impossible but it is true.

That's bettable.

Hard to say @JoseyWalesTheOutlaw
If conference games arent expanded it wont be any difference the way i see it

Should they put ok n TX in west and bama n AU in east. Who in west would be better than OK ( presently). AnM. Maybe! LSU...probably not

and they could draw USCe, TN , vandy, ky as crossover ...even Florida or AU this year...

right now OK would be top 4-5 in SEC... bama, AnM, Lsu, uga, ok

if they expanded Chance increases to get uga or bama. But still....

I would have put OU in the East and Texas is the West and left everything else like it was. Why F up the other 14 teams old schedule?

Bama would get OU every now and then and A&M would get Texas every year.

Manziel wouldn’t give us that kind of issue any more. We were totally different on D then.

and most important is Mal got that A&M game moved out of that slot after Bama played LSU....you really need to be playing the little sisters of the poor the week after LSU.......sorry to all our friends ovah at Starkville.
As I recall that game against A&M, after LSU, was only for one season—A&M's and Missouri's first SEC season. 2012 and 2013 had schedules that were "thrown together" which ended up with odd scheduling for a lot of schools (IE: Ole Miss who had back to back trips to play Bama in Tuscaloosa.)

I'm thinking Bama played A&M in November their first year in the SEC followed by the game in '13 happening in September and then in '14 saw the game moved to October.

Anyway...with all of that shuffling, and as much respect as I have for Coach Moore, I don't recall his influence having any bearing on where they fell on the schedule.

That said, I've forgotten much more important things in my life.

This is correct. The 2012 game was the week after playing LSU. Emotionally difficult to get up 2 weeks in a row and A&M was unknown.

2013 had the game in Week 3 - it was the most anticipated regular season game in a decade and was talked about all August by every sports talk show in america.
