That tape is somethin' else... He's a good looking player! Have to wonder at that height and with his style, if he doesn't translate into more of an ILB for CNS? The only other edge guy I can remember with that shoter/thicker build was Courtney Upshaw... But it worked out pretty well for him.

Looking forward to him getting in the fold... RTR

It was Bama, LSU, and UGA he narrowed it down to Bama and UGA committing to the Tide in the spring of last year.. He decommitted from Bama in October of 2020. It's Bama and Clemson now. Todd Bates has been doing a heck of a job recruiting him to get the interest they have.

The 247 and Rivals folks agree with you … though both have him at 100%. Me, I much prefer 90% when speaking about 17 and 18 year old kids. Of course, the recruiting services sometimes crack me up on their player evaluations. 247 and ESPN think a lot of Alexander and both have him as a 5 Star recruit. Rivals on the other hand has him as a 4 Star ranked around 60th with arrows pointing down. I don’t know if anyone’s ever gone back and graded the big three recruiting services but from my observations and some anecdotal evidence, I think Rivals wouldn’t score as well as the other two. Your thoughts? Or do you even pay much attention to the recruit rankings?
 
Saw all this chatter on the Bama Rant page regarding Cruiting....

Pete Golding is no famous for his Tweet when something good is about to happen...He tweets "Roll Tide" and he did earlier today before the 5* from Thompson selected The King.

I think this was closer than people thought. JA7 took three visits the first week of June: Clemson, Jawja, and Bama. At the former, the family developed a great relationship with Todd Bates. The pics that were posted on fb, too... Glad we got him and that this is out of his way.

I could see "his hand in the dirt" occasionally but he strikes me as an OLB type. Being defined as an "edge" guy puts him on the line, right? Outside rush end out of base...
